Whether we are Pittsburghers born and raised or newcomers who have come to adopt Pittsburgh as our home away from home, we are all proud to be living in this vibrant and scenic city and to call ourselves "Pittsburghers." Pittsburgh's capacity for renewal is unquestionable and inspirational.

The other day, my Hebrew teacher instructed our class to show up the next morning prepared to recite a folk tale from childhood, in Hebrew. It would be good practice for using past tense, which we were just learning, and, hey - it would probably be fun. Fine by me.

Morals and values in reality television

With the writers' strike still on hand, TV networks have inevitably decided to air myriad reality TV shows. So, unfortunately, if I want to watch something interesting or slightly entertaining from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. during the week, I will have to succumb to possible brain damage and "stupidification" by watching, "Moments of Truth," "Making the Band" or the much anticipated "Flavor of Love 3.
