Democratic Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton visited the David L. Lawrence Convention Center Downtown yesterday for the Presidential Candidate Forum on Manufacturing to discuss their stances on the 207,400 manufacturing jobs Pennsylvania's lost since 2000.

Brackenridge Fellowship winners to be released this week

Somebody needs to tell Alice Cooper that he doesn't speak for everyone. For a particularly brainy set of Pitt undergrads, school's definitely "in" for the summer. These are the 127 students vying for 40 coveted seats in this summer's Brackenridge Fellowship, an elite research program open to all undergraduates.

Player involved in incident

Pitt defensive back Sherod Murdock was involved in an incident at Sutherland Hall Saturday night, Pitt Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs Robert Hill confirmed. Murdock was then suspended indefinitely from the football team yesterday for disciplinary reasons.

Postcard exhibit addresses issues of sexual assault

Although National Sexual Assault Week was the first week of April, Sexual Assault Services is still trying to raise awareness of the issues. Sexual assault, dating violence, childhood abuse, harassment, stalking and domestic violence are the focus of an exhibit in the Kimbo Art Gallery of the William Pitt Union this week.
